Solid Surface Countertops

  1. Routine Cleaning:

    • Use mild dish soap and water or an ammonia-based cleaner.

    • Avoid using window cleaners as they can leave a waxy build-up.

  2. Preventing Stains:

    • Clean spills promptly to prevent staining.

    • For tougher stains, use a cleaner formulated for removing hard water marks, such as CLR® or Lime-A-Way®.

  3. Disinfecting:

    • Occasionally wipe the surface with a diluted household bleach solution (5 tablespoons of bleach to 1 gallon of water).

  4. Maintaining Gloss:

    • To enhance the gloss level on semi-gloss and high-gloss finishes, use a countertop polish like Countertop Magic® or Hope’s® Perfect Countertop™.

  5. Avoiding Damage:

    • Do not place hot pots or pans directly on the surface; use trivets or hot pads.

    • Avoid cutting directly on the countertop to prevent scratches.

  6. Repairing Minor Damage:

    • Fine scratches and small cuts can usually be repaired using standard repair techniques.

With proper care, your solid surface countertops can maintain their appearance and functionality for many years.
